Job Description:
As a Material Handler Supervisor at BW Papersystems, you will direct and lead a team responsible for receiving, storing, and delivering raw materials and parts for processing, assembly, or shipment. You will supervise daily activities, set priorities, and ensure policies and procedures are followed by your team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage daily and ongoing warehouse activities, serving as the primary contact for all warehouse-related issues.
- Supervise a team responsible for receiving, identifying, issuing, storing, and kitting materials and parts.
- Develop and implement warehouse area standards and processes to address improvement opportunities and quality/cost concerns.
- Provide comprehensive support to operations in safety, quality, performance, and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Proactively engage with assembly teams to eliminate trending issues affecting customer satisfaction.
- Conduct and oversee regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Implement efficient inventory management practices to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures within the stores area.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve material flow and logistics processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years’ experience in warehouse management and operations
- 3+ years’ experience in inventory management
- Must be computer savvy
- 3+ years’ experience in coaching subordinates
