Horizon Home Care & Hospice is seeking a detail-oriented, customer service-focused Medical Records Specialist. If you are passionate about people and passionate about the world of behind-the-scenes health care this is the position for you.
This multi-tasking master must be a pro at meeting deadlines and art of the follow-up. Strong work ethic and interpersonal skills are imperative.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Maintains a Medical Record for all Agency clients that assures compliance with all State and Federal regulations
- Meets all current confidentiality standards.
- Acts as a customer service representative for all office staff, field staff and for outside customers that require access to the information maintained in the Medical Record.A
- Receives, reviews and processes all release of information requests.

- High School Diploma or equivalent, with a Certification in Medical Records preferred.
- 2-3 years of office experience; Medical Records experience preferred.
- Must possess excellent communication, organization, prioritization, and customer relation skills.
- Current/Valid WI Drivers License; plus reliable/insured vehicle
