position SUMMARY
The FP&A Manager will play a critical role in partnering with operational leaders at RealTruck, ensuring accurate and insightful reporting to senior leadership and other key stakeholders. The position will be responsible for the development of forecasts, budgets, and product roadmaps, while also supporting strategic decision making. The ideal candidate will have experience with all three financial statements within a private equity-backed environment, with a strong ability to analyze financial performance, develop key insights, and support the company’s growth initiatives.
CORE FUNCTIONS
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead financial planning processes, including monthly forecasts, annual budgets and long-range plans.
- Develop financial models to support decision making, scenario analysis, and business strategy
- Ensure accurate, timely and insightful financial reporting, identifying key trends and business drivers
Management & Senior Leadership Reporting
- Facilitate the annual product roadmap process by overseeing consolidated financials and presenting to Senior Leadership
- Own the preparation of management reporting, including monthly operating reviews and ad hoc analysis
- Provide variance analysis with key business insights, identifying risks and opportunities to drive performance
- Develop dashboards and visualizations to enhance executive decision making
Forecasting, Budgeting & Strategic Planning
- Build and maintain a robust forecasting process that enhances visibility into financial performance
- Drive alignment between FP&A and operational execution, ensuring key assumptions are well supported
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand cost structures, revenue drivers and capital needs
Process Improvement & System Optimization
- Implement best practices in FP&A to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Leverage various tools like BI and Alteryx to automate reporting and enhance financial insights
- Support finance transformation initiatives, including M&A integration, cost optimization and process standardization
Business Partnership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a financial business partner to senior leadership, providing insights to drive profitable growth
- Work closely with FP&A, accounting and operations to align business objectives
- Support corporate finance initiatives including capital allocation, working capital management and strategic projects
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field required. MBA or CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of FP&A experience, preferably in a private equity-backed company or corporate finance environment
- Experience using ERP systems is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting and analytical skills
- Skilled in Microsoft Office suite. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent professional written, verbal and presentation skills to all audiences.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Aptitude to learn new systems and skills quickly.
- Self-motivated, with ability to prioritize assignments, work independently, and manage workload within established deadlines.
Travel
- Occasional travel may be required.
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead: working team member who coordinates, supports, trains, and is a knowledge resource for other team members. No direct reports or supervisory responsibility.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This position is subject to Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involved sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.
