As a Charge Nurse at Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Center, you’ll oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients.

To thrive in this role, you need to be accountable and confident. You’re an excellent communicator in 1:1 interactions and in front of groups. It’s also important for you to be comfortable holding tough conversations, as you are responsible for the performance of your people and your unit.

Dignity Health now offers an Education Benefit program for benefit-eligible employees after 180 days. This program provides debt relief and student loan assistance to help you achieve your goals. Full-time employees can receive up to $18,000 over five years, while part-time employees can receive up to $9,000. Advanced Practice Providers and Faculty Physicians can receive up to $90,000 if full-time and hired within a year of completing their residency or fellowship. Responsibilities

  • Mentors others in areas such as competency, documentation, equipment use, plan of care, National Patient Safety Goals, and participation in inservice education.

  • Coaches to improve care

  • Prepares work schedules, assigns personnel.

  • Coordinates patient flow on the unit to facilitate the provision of timely and effective care

  • Demonstrates appropriate prioritization and critical thinking skills in critical situations

  • Provides direct patient care as appropriate to meet the needs of the patients and department.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Two (2) years RN experience within applicable clinical specialty and/or charge nurse experience

  • AZ RN license

  • AHA BLS and ACLS

  • ADN or foreign equivalent.

  • Skilled Working Knowledge of the EMR and hospital systems.

Pay Range

$42.85 – $63.77 /hour
