ASRC Federal Field Services provides logistical support at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in North Charleston (FLETC Federal Complex off of Spruill Avenue). We are looking for a Food Service Worker, who is available to work evening, and weekend hours.
Responsibilities:
- Sets up food service, or salad area facilities, equipment and utensils, under detailed instruction and, in accordance with specific area needs; checks food temperatures and/or prepares areas for daily operations.
- Follows prescribed procedures in setting up hot and cold food lines; chooses proper utensils and sets steam line to appropriate temperature for menu items.
- Serves food items to customers from counters and/or steam tables, in accordance with specific instructions, ensuring that appropriate portions are served as instructed.
- Replenishes foods, silverware, glassware, dishes, and trays at serving stations.
- May clean, wash, and maintain work areas, including floors, facilities, pots, pans, service ware, utensils, and equipment; collects and places garbage and trash in designated containers; as appropriate to the area of operation.
- Operate iPad/Square POS to process cash and credit sales.
- May provide guidance and training to other employees performing related work.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Punctuality, time management and teamwork are necessities
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Must be a US or Naturalized Citizen
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Must pass a background investigation, and physical exam
- Must be able to work evening and weekend hours
- Must possess excellent customer service values
- Must be punctual and have great attendance
Preferred Experience:
- 1 year experience in food service
- SERV Safe Certification preferred (candidate must successfully complete food handler certification within the first 30 days of employment)
- Experience operating point of sale equipment
