Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Specialist to process employee compensation accurately and on time. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, maintaining payroll records, and responding to employee inquiries about payroll-related issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Process biweekly or monthly payroll for [number] employees using [Payroll Software, e.g., ADP, Paychex, etc.].
Review and verify timekeeping records, wage calculations, and deductions.
Ensure accurate and timely submission of payroll tax filings and payments.
Maintain and update employee payroll records in accordance with legal and company policies.
Handle adjustments, garnishments, bonuses, and final paychecks.
Prepare payroll reports for internal use and external audits.
Answer employee questions regarding payroll, timekeeping, and benefits deductions.
Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate employee data and resolve discrepancies.
Stay current with payroll laws and regulations.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
Familiarity with payroll software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
Strong understanding of payroll principles, tax laws, and wage/hour laws.
High attention to detail and excellent numerical accuracy.
