Position Summary
SJAC is seeking a full-time Program Coordinator to provide programmatic and administrative support in the day-to-day administration of SJAC activities from its headquarters in Washington DC. The Program Coordinator will provide logistical and administrative support to SJAC’s trial monitoring and case building teams.
The Program Coordinator will (1) support the management of an award funded by the US Department of State’s Office of Global Criminal Justice and (2) provide administrative support to SJAC’s other projects as needed. The ideal candidate will be an early career professional with exceptional administrative skills and attention to detail and at least 1 year of experience working with US government grants.
General Duties and Responsibilities

Support the management of a US government funded award that supports SJAC’s trial monitoring and case-building efforts in Europe (60%)
- Draft quarterly and annual reporting for donors and participate in periodic donor calls.
- Provide basic compliance oversight, ensuring that project activities and spending are in line with donor regulations.
- Facilitate biweekly project meetings.
- Manage the project budget, with oversight from the Program Officer.
- Facilitate recruitment and hiring processes for new project consultants and renewal of contracts for existing consultants.
- Oversee contracting for all consultants on the project.
- Collect and analyze M&E indicators, and share with team leads to ensure that project activities are updated as needed.
- Participate in regular calls with SJAC management to share project progress and challenges.
- Assist Europe-based project consultants with planning in-person community events in Europe
- Oversee travel booking for Team Lead – Case Building, trial monitors, community advocates and any other project staff as needed
- Coordinate project activities with the Legal Director, Team Lead – Case Building Team Lead – Trial Monitoring.

Provide administrative support to other projects, as needed (30%):
- Support other SJAC staff with consultant invoicing, hiring, procurement, travel booking, or donor reporting
- Draft blogs and support other SJAC written publications, as needed (10%)
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, nonprofit management, or related field.
- Minimum two years of full-time professional administrative experience in an international organization or similar institution.
- Minimum one year of experience working with US government grants, including budget management, donor reporting, and monitoring and evaluation.
- Experience in USG award compliance, including familiarity with the 2CFR200, is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills, including attention to detail, ability to prioritize and multi-task, and ability to work under and adhere to tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team; must be a team player and demonstrate a sense of responsibility and sensitivity in dealing with diverse audiences.
- Interest in the field of human rights and transitional justice.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience using Excel and familiarity with Google Suite
Salary: Starting salary is dependent on education and experience within established bands of compensation. SJAC anticipates offering a salary between $56,000 and $65,000.
