Job Overview

The Manager, Health Services Operations Quality, manages the development and execution of key strategic and operational initiatives that improve the delivery of care and services to achieve population health outcomes. As a manager within the Health Services Population Health Management division, responsibilities include managing functional processes and leading a team of individuals supporting the initiation, planning, execution and monitoring of initiatives across the health services division focused around AltaMed’s value-based care strategy and standardized operational work processes supporting delivery of quality care and services to patients. This manager will be partner with physician leaders, operational, nursing and administrative leaders to optimize and standardize service line processes, lead strategic initiatives, and optimize care processes within AltaMed’s Primary Care Medical, Dental, Behavioral Health and HIV Services. As a manager, this leader will serve as a subject matter expert and consult with other leaders on defining and prioritizing potential initiatives, and provide direct leadership to team members supporting the execution of these initiatives to achieve desired outcomes. This will involve working with clinical, operational and administrative leaders and stakeholders to align operational and administrative processes across Health Services, including development of standardized work processes to meet financial, quality, patient experience and employee goals and objectives. . This will involve working with leadership to identify areas for improvement, implementing new processes and systems, and supporting employees through the change process.

Minimum Requirements

  • 1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Health Administration, or other health related field required.
  • 2. Master’s Degree in Business, Public Health, or Health Administration preferred.
  • 3. Minimum of 5 years of experience partnering with cross-functional operational and clinical leaders in designing, planning, implementing and monitoring initiatives, programs or projects to improve patient or customer outcomes required.
  • 4. Minimum of 3 years of experience leading Six Sigma Process Improvement, Total Quality Management, Change Management, Project Management or similar standard best practice approaches to continuous improvement, with American Society for Quality (ASQ), Six Sigma Green Belt, or Change Management certification preferred.
  • 5. Experience in financial management, program development, quality management or change management required

Compensation

$98,121.92 – $122,652.40 annually

The range is subject to change. AltaMed is committed to ensuring a fair and competitive compensation package that reflects the candidate’s value and the role’s strategic importance within the organization.
