Project Manager and Submittals Administrator

<div class="isg-job-description“>GENERAL SUMMARY
The Project Manager & Submittals Administrator position will consist of 50% Project Management & 50% Submittals with potential adjustments depending on workload. The Project Manager is responsible for managing the complete job process on assigned customer projects to ensure on time delivery of high-quality products while maximizing profitability.  The Project Manager works closely with internal departments (Sales, Operations, and Finance) and external representatives, ensuring that customer expectations are understood and internal risks are managed on a continuous basis.  This position is also responsible for completing HFA Submittals & O & M manuals for assigned reps.
This position is currently eligible for DeZURIK’s hybrid work schedule.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Promotes and encourages a “Customer First” culture within DeZURIK.
  • Manages assigned customer projects from initial order entry through shipment and collections. Multitask between multiple projects at one time. (100-150 projects) Complete initial requested submittal packages for assigned reps as well as return comments.
  • Understands pricing decisions, technical customer specifications, ensures accurate delivery projections, ensures that special requirements by the customer (i.e. special design requirements, inspections, and quality requirements) are identified on the orders and accounted for in routings & executed on the shop floor prior to shipment.
  • Reviews and understands the commercial terms and conditions for large project orders. Work with finance in negotiating delivery timelines to assist in executing the Purchase Order.
  • Ensures that the order flow process is understood and followed by all departments.
  • Develops and manages the project schedule for completion of key tasks.
  • Coordinates and manages inter department team awareness of projects and their commitments.
  • Ensures timely submittal and release of HFA (Hold For Approval) orders.
  • Identifies key cost items and establishes goals for cost reductions.
  • Communication / collaboration with internal departments, sales representative organizations, as well as external customers, vendors, engineers, and end users.
  • Monitor receipts of large retention balances and assist with collections as needed.
  • Lead, manage and initiate progress payment milestones per executed PO.
  • Lead and manage storage requirements on projects & orders as assigned.
  • Work with multiple internal departments to expedite as needed by customer.

education AND experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or recognized equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience in a manufacturing or construction environment working with schedules, budgets, and cross-functional teams.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Broad understanding of business procedures and processes including sales, finance, engineering, purchasing, planning, customer service, and manufacturing
  • General understanding of acceptable business and sales practices.
  • Effective communication, organization, and conflict management skills a must.
  • Organization, prioritization, delegation and execution skills a must.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Physical demands are typical of an office position including extended periods of sitting, extensive use of a personal computer and telephone.
  • Position requires movement around the facilities.
  • Occasional handling of material and components.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal manufacturing and office environment.  When working occasionally in some shop areas, personal protection equipment (PPE) will be recommended and/or required (safety shoes, safety glasses w/side shields, hearing protection, face shield, gloves, apron and boots).

SALARY AND BENEFITS
DeZURIK offers a competitive base salary in the $73,735 to $92,168 range, based on experience and qualifications, along with annual bonus opportunities tied to performance.
