PTW Lead

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Position Overview

The Permit to Work (PTW) Lead oversees the comprehensive management of the permit to work system, ensuring all work activities are conducted safely and in compliance with established procedures. This leadership role is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the PTW process, supervising PTW coordinators, and interfacing with various project stakeholders to facilitate safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the PTW team, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and continuous professional development
• Establish, implement, and optimize PTW processes and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence
• Interface with HSE Advisors, Construction and Commissioning Supervision to maintain safe and environmentally sound work environments
• Coordinate complex SIMOPS (Simultaneous Operations) activities, resolving conflicts and facilitating effective scheduling of work fronts
• Provide expert troubleshooting and leadership to ensure efficient execution of the PTW process
• Review and approve high-risk permits, ensuring all hazards are properly identified and control measures are adequately implemented
• Conduct regular audits to verify:
  • PTW staff are properly trained, competent, and compliant
  • PTW processes are diligently followed by all stakeholders
  • Permit holders adhere to all specified requirements and conditions
• Identify trends, implement improvements, and drive continuous enhancement of the PTW system
• Maintain effective communication with project leadership regarding PTW performance metrics and potential issues

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in PTW management within industrial settings, with 2+ years in a supervisory capacity
• Comprehensive knowledge of PTW systems, risk assessment methodologies, and safety management principles
• Strong understanding of relevant safety regulations and industry standards
• Proven leadership abilities with demonstrated success managing and developing teams
• Excellent conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
• Advanced communication abilities and experience interfacing with diverse stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, safety management, or related field preferred
• Professional certifications in occupational safety or project management highly desirable
• Experience with electronic permit to work systems and digital safety management tools
