Job Description

Teledyne Reynolds (a business unit of Teledyne Defense Electronics, LLC) has over 60 years of heritage supplying the highest quality, high voltage interconnect solutions to the most demanding of applications in the Military/Defense, High-end Industrial, Medical, Energy and Space industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Program quality support and customer interface
  • Review customer quality requirements and ensure products and processes meet requirements
  • Review customer returns
  • Product failure investigation
  • Material review management (waivers, deviations, discrepancy reporting)
  • Conduct and support internal audits
  • Quality documentation development
  • Timely, thorough review and action on reported non-conformances, whether from customers, the factory, or our suppliers
  • Timely, thorough quality planning of customer requirements, whether related to new orders for new product, new orders for existing product, or changes to existing orders
  • Consistent, effective execution and follow through on internal quality system audits and appropriate preparation, communication, and coordination on external audits, whether customer or 3rd party
  • Effective failure analysis/root cause on non-conformance that are deemed to be critical based on customer, program, value or frequency and effective corrective & preventative actions for those felt to warrant it.
  • Ensure calibrations are consistently maintained as required, and properly contain situations where equipment used for acceptance are found to be out of calibration

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or other STEM related discipline
  • Understanding of customer contract review, quality requirement flow downs
  • 5+ years quality assurance or related engineering experience (aerospace/aviation preferred)
  • Must be able to read and interpret Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing drawings including specifications, standards and procedures
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001/AS9100 quality management system environment
  • Must be familiar with the application and use of mechanical inspection techniques and measurement tools
  • Experience in RCCA/PA, continuous improvement, fishbone analysis, and 5 Why methodologies
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (i.e. customer and supplier interface)
  • Extensive familiarity and practical use of computer applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Preferred skills and capabilities:

  • Ability to set and achieve goals
  • Understanding of quality processes
  • Familiarity with DCMA/Gov’t Source Inspection
  • Knowledge of six sigma tools
  • Statistical software, (i.e. Minitab, JMP, R)
  • Green Belt certified
  • CMM Programming
  • Ability to work independently

Please note the salary range posted is a general guideline for this job level and location. When extending an offer, a variety of factors are considered such as responsibilities of the position, relevant education and experience, certifications, knowledge and skills.

Salary range: $100K – $115K

Salary Range:

$74,800.00-$99,880.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
