Job Overview:

A Quality Engineer is a professional who?monitors and tests the quality of products in industries such as manufacturing and automotive. They ensure compliance with standards, identify issues, recommend solutions, and create quality documentation.
Responsibilities:

• Uses and improves existing quality processes in collaboration with the Value stream team to sustain and/or improve quality of manufacturing, supplier quality and advanced quality processes for new product development.
  
• Effectively uses FMEA, process control plans, functional testing, work instruction development, root cause analysis, corrective action and quality training to improve critical plant KPIs.
  
• Monitoring, analyzing, reporting out on and driving improvement of our Customer Quality, Reliability, customer service performance in the designated business area.
  
• Building partnerships, educating, developing, auditing, reporting out on and driving improvement of the supplier base.
  
• Participate in developing the overall quality strategy.
  
• Successfully applying Lean tools to drive continuous improvement to meet or exceed annual Safety, Quality, Operations and Cost objectives.
  
• Effectively communicating and collaborating with all levels in the organization, as well as customers and suppliers to achieve key annual objectives.
  
• Supporting plant quality processes such as PPAP, FMEA and CAPA activity as needed.
  

Requirements:

• Associates Degree.
  
• 4+ years of engineering/quality experience in an assembly manufacturing environment.
  
• Proven track record of Quality Sciences -APQP, Problem solving, sampling, statistical analysis, root cause analysis, PDCA.
  
• Strong ability to prioritize & manage multiple Quality-related tasks and projects.
  
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  

Preferences:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  
• Demonstrated strategic thinking in their initiatives and has been a champion of innovative ideas.
  
• Strong knowledge and experience in ISO9001 and/or AS9100 Management Systems.
  
• Experience with mechanical assembly.
  
• Knowledge and experience in the following manufacturing processes, machining, welding and assembly.
  
• 5+ years of Quality Experience across plants or business units.
  
• Experience in a machine shop setting is a plus.
  
• Proven success as a proactive, collaborative influencer creating a unified team toward a common quality performance goal.
  
• Lean methodology experience (Six Sigma Green or Black Belt).
  
• Several years of plant experience working within plant quality systems.
  
• ASQ quality certification – CQT, CQE, CQM, CRE.
