The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s educational background, skills and professional experience.
The Radiology Technologist position performs proper radiographic procedures as required by physician orders. Provides patient service using diagnostic, portable, and fluoroscopic equipment. The technologist is competent in the production of quality radiographs for proper treatment and diagnosis by physicians.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology
- NJ Radiology license
- ARRT Certification
- BLS through the American Heart Association
Scheduling Requirements:
- Full-Time
- Day Shift
- Sunday to Thursday, 7:00am-3:30pm
- OR Call rotation required!
Essential Functions:
- Performs all routine radiographic procedures and views according to the department procedure manual
- Performs and/or assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures
- Performs surgical and portable examinations as assigned
- Performs visual checks on equipment and reports findings to appropriate personnel
- Prepares and maintains room and assures emergency supplies are intact
- Participate in the teaching/preparation of patients/families as appropriate and according to age-specific guidelines
- Identifies problems and communicates with immediate supervisor/charge staff, offers solutions as appropriate
- Instructs radiology students according to clinical and didactic requirements
- Adjusts technical factors in proportion to the patient and body part being examined, while minimizing radiation
- Assists in the orientation of department and hospital personnel, as appropriate.
