Position Overview:
Are you a Reporting and Data Analytics Specialist? Would you like to join a team passionate about this space and looking to help expand our reporting footprint and data mining capabilities? The Single-Family Accounts Receivable (SFAR) group at Freddie Mac is currently seeking a Technical Lead to join this dynamic and forward-thinking group! The successful candidate will perform reporting, technical and configuration support, and data analytical and migration activities as part of the Revenue Assurance Team. The role requires attention to detail, and well-developed analytical and organizational skills. The Technical Lead will work closely with Accounts Receivable personnel who are process and data owners and/or key data consumers. They will also support mid to large scale projects and assist with business process support and monitoring to ensure compliance with guidelines, standards, procedures as well as system access policies for the group. The position will report to the Senior Operations Change Manager for Revenue Assurance.
Our Impact:
Freddie Mac Accounts Receivable team is a shared service for many corporate accounts receivable functions, to include bill processing and receivable processes, eBill management, cash and payment activities, counterparty compliance, system and project support.
The Revenue Assurance Team provides reporting support, technical support, system data analytics, system support, business management and project management.
Your Impact:
In this role, you will be an integral part of the Revenue Assurance Team and will be collaborating with Stakeholders to design and implement sophisticated reporting and data services and system’s configuration and maintenance. You will support developers and analysts in crafting strategies around reporting, quality, implementation of future state data and system integration.
The variety of responsibilities involved in this position, include:
- Technical Leadership: Lead the technical design, development, and implementation of software projects. Provide technical direction, mentorship, and support to the development team.
- Project Management: Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and timelines. Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and meet quality standards.
- Coding/ Reviews and Quality Assurance: Build coding, conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure that best practices are followed. Ensure the quality, scalability, and performance of the software.
- System Design: Work with project leads to design robust, scalable, and secure software solutions to support our processes.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and identify technical challenges and provide innovative solutions. Address and resolve technical issues that arise during the development lifecycle.
- Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals and objectives. Facilitate communication between team members and stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies. Promote continuous learning and improvement within the team.
- Documentation: Ensure that technical documentation is complete, up-to-date, and accessible. Document key decisions, processes, and designs.
- Create and maintain processes and procedures to align with divisional and enterprise standards related to privacy, information security, information classification, records retention, and data governance
- Identify, Influence and Implement technology, process and skill changes to modernize our Infrastructure
- Developing and managing business definitions for critical data
Qualifications:
- 8 or more years’ experience in Data, Reporting, and/or Master Data Management related projects in Financial Services industry – along with complimentary experience in analytics/ data governance within the financial services industry
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Finance, related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in development and management of database reporting using Access/SAS/SQL, Python/R skills.
- Strong knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience defining and detailing business processes and information including metadata and data lineage
- Experience in collecting requirements, crafting and developing integrations, configuring Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software products
- Proactive self-starter with good time-management skills and a strong work-ethic
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including technical developers and business stakeholders
- Detailed understanding and ability to communicate various change and project management methodologies (Scrum Agile).
- Ability to quickly learn new software applications and effectively collaborate with stakeholders to influence outcomes
Keys to Success in this Role:

- Strong knowledge of database reporting with a focus on Tableau.
- Proficient in Access, SAS, SQL reporting
- Familiarity with Hyperion, Python, Collibra and other programming and data management tools a plus

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $122,000 – $182,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
