PURPOSE:

The Sales Representative will be responsible for developing sales leads and managing key accounts for current customers. This role will interact with other Sales Representatives, Plant Personnel, Accounting/Credit, Pricing and Transportation staff. Ideal candidate to be located in Southeast portion of the United States.

KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops sales leads and manages key accounts.
  • Prepares reports as required by management.
  • Development of product growth strategies based on market and company data.
  • Prepares and presents quotes, including transportation, freight, import/export and all other related services.
  • Business development with a keen ability to discuss a customer’s Application and deliver a product solution.
  • Ability to skillfully negotiate contractual obligations based on successfully quantifying identifiable metrics.
  • Assist in the development, quality and operations in the initial establishment and maintenance of customer specifications.
  • Ability to convert sales leads to concrete opportunities utilizing action related sales markers.
  • CRM/Sales report generation required with a focus of identifying measurable metrics.
  • Build partnerships with corporate manufacturing, supply chain and other stakeholders to deliver best in class service for customers.
  • position requires extensive travel (40% or more) and is on call for troubleshooting at customer locations.
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED education/EXPERIENCES:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field required.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the sales, business and market development field.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills to effectively work with individuals both inside and outside the company.
  • Proficiency in use of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Valid Driver’s License required

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:

  • experience in selling base oils/specialty chemicals and lubricants.
  • Experience utilizing a CRM.
  • Strong sales and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to effectively influence others.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strategic and creative thinking skills.
  • Understanding of business plans and metrics, with the ability to course correct to fit company needs.
