Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for a Sanitation Technician to join a leading food manufacturing facility. This critical position helps ensure the safety, cleanliness, and compliance of food processing equipment and work areas. Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize food processing equipment and facility areas following established procedures.
- Disassemble and reassemble machinery for proper cleaning.
- Handle and mix cleaning chemicals safely according to documented instructions.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly for all tasks.
- Complete sanitation checklists and required documentation accurately.
- Monitor and support food safety standards including Cook/Cooling Temps, Metal Detection, and Pre-Operational Cleaning.
- Safely operate equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts (certification preferred or will train).
- Dispose of trash and recyclables appropriately from production areas.
- Report equipment malfunctions or sanitation issues promptly.
- Perform additional related tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, use ladders, and work in hot, cold, or humid environments.
- Comfortable working around moving equipment, strong cleaning agents, and in noisy conditions.
- Must be able to read and understand safety/chemical labels and fill out basic forms.
- Forklift and scissor lift certification is a plus (training available).
- Must be dependable and follow safety and sanitation procedures closely.
Pay Rates:
- $16.50 – Days
- $17.50 – Swing
- $18.00 – Nights
