Saturation Technician

Overview:

The primary purpose of the Saturation Technician position is to deliver specified production and quality goals by performing the setup, assembly, troubleshooting/repair of assigned equipment, and in process inspections of saturated products produced in the nonwoven saturation area. 

Responsibilities:

Communicates quality and production goals to Saturation Operators 

Performs daily troubleshooting and repairs on assigned equipment (Elsner, Hal 1, Hal 2, ABL, Quarter Folding Machine)  

Documents work according to the IFS system and reporting requirements 

Reads and interprets EDSs, Control Plans, and Work Orders as necessary to complete production. 

Performs equipment setup and material changeover. 

Performs of in-process inspections as required by the Control Plans. 

Packages products to IFS specifications 

Others may be assigned

Competencies:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to move and traverse. The employee is frequently required to operate, activate, use, inspect, communicate, identify, and observe. The employee is occasionally required to be in a stationary position, stoop or access low lying parts of the machine.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. 

Requirements:

Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
