As a Security Officer – Retail Patrol in Newark, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

Our team is seeking dedicated professionals to join us in a dynamic retail and mall environment. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. This role requires an armed position, utilizing handcuffs and pepper spray, and a valid driver’s license is necessary for job-related duties. Exceptional customer service and communication skills are essential as you interact with patrons and staff. Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Mon07:30 AM – 04:00 PM

Tue07:30 AM – 04:00 PM

Wed07:30 AM – 04:00 PM

Sat08:00 AM – 04:30 PM

Sun07:30 AM – 04:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by implementing security procedures and site-specific policies, and engage in emergency response activities when necessary.

• Respond to incidents and critical situations with a calm and problem-solving approach.

• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must have experience with armed handcuff usage.

• Applicants must have experience with armed pepper spray usage.

• A valid driver’s license is required for positions in the job state.

• California Security Professional Guard Card required.

• Customer service experience is preferred.

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
