Summary:

In this role, the Senior Analyst for Pharmacy Aggregation Groups independently conducts in-depth analyses and develops data-driven solutions by leveraging strong research and technical skills. The position often involves working with multiple data sources and collaborating across business lines to build new analytical capabilities. This role identifies complex business challenges, proposes actionable solutions, and presents clear recommendations to management and external stakeholders. It also involves supporting the decision-making process by evaluating alternatives with measurable impact on team or functional performance. Additionally, this position may involve mentoring peers, providing training, and contributing to the development of junior analysts, while often leading key projects or managing critical processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver customized analyses using a variety of internal and external data sources, including raw, structured, unstructured, and published data.

  • Develop and maintain automated processes for data analysis to support scalable insights.

  • Research and apply industry best practices, incorporating competitive intelligence and Vizient differentiators into analytical approaches.

  • Lead small-scale projects with defined scope, ensuring timely, high-quality outcomes.

  • Build and sustain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to manage expectations and gather requirements.

  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings to understand business processes and align analytical efforts with organizational needs.

  • Present data-driven recommendations and advise stakeholders on potential courses of action to drive decision-making.

  • Coordinate and manage data dependencies across teams, ensuring accuracy and consistency of shared datasets.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree in computer science, mathematics, or data science is preferred.

  • 5 or more years of relevant data analytics experience is required.

  • Experience in a business-to-business service environment or in financial and business analysis within a healthcare setting is preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with strong skills in Excel.

  • Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or R at a beginner to intermediate level preferred.

  • Demonstrates excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, and strong communication, customer service, organizational, presentation, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical product attributes such as strengths, packaging, dosage forms, and routes of administration is preferred.

  • Experience in pharmacy or supply chain contracting, along with an understanding of the Request for Exception (RFE) process, is desired.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $68,500.00 to $116,300.00.
