Role purpose

The Senior Retail Consultant leads in their ability to consult, serve, and prescribe Aesop products to new and existing customers. They assist the Store Manager with training new employees in their onboarding period, exhibit organization and accuracy with any operational tasks delegated to them, and work with the Store Manager to gain a more in-depth understanding of what is required to operate a store successfully. Ensuring the highest level of service is provided to customers, the role contributes to maximizing sales and financial growth.

What we are looking for

• 1 year of previous experience within retail and with products requiring specialist knowledge
• 1 year of previous experience with store operations and stock management
• A genuine interest in learning the skills and capabilities needed to ensure success with daily responsibilities
• An understanding and ability to speak strategically about KPI’s and sales objectives
• Effective selling skills and the ability to drive commercial outcomes
• Ability to consistently introduce Aesop products to clients through hand demonstrations
• History of successfully participating in and contributing to a team
• Demonstrated ability to utilize empathy to manage interpersonal relationships and contribute to a positive and inclusive experience for all
• Open mindset and deep curiosity seeking to understand others, listen without judgement and act on diverse perspectives
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of skin care and skin care industry (advantageous)
• Knowledge of hair care, body care, fragrance and home categories (advantageous)
• The ability to communicate with warmth, energy and sincerity

This position is full time and operates an on-site working pattern.
