THE JOB:

Join our dynamic team at MGM National Harbor as a Sous Chef in National Market, our outstanding food court. You’ll be the driving force behind ensuring that every dish meets our high standards for quality and taste. At National Market, you’ll play a key role in shaping a vibrant culinary journey. Guests can explore a range of delicious options—from mouthwatering New York-style slices at Zizi’s Pizza to award-winning crab cakes at Pappa’s and fresh-made poke bowls from Bento Sushi Bar. By connecting with our guests, you’ll create unforgettable moments they’ll cherish long after their visit.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Train cooks on job responsibilities
• Ensure requisitions are processed properly and placed in designated area
• Label and date all products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation
• Maintain knowledge, understanding and preparation of base sauces, stocks and soups
• Ensure food quality is superior and take action to correct any irregularities
• Communicate with management and service staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and employees
• Assist the Executive Chef by controlling purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists and inventory of all kitchen items
• Prepare and administer kitchen schedule
• Assist Executive Chef by establishing goals and objectives that focus on profit, product and people

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Two years experience in a high-volume restaurant, production kitchen, or fine dining restaurant
• Two years of experience in a hotel/casino environment preferred
• Work varied shifts to include weekends and holidays

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is:

$47,165.76 – $77,351.64

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.
