Job Description

Visa is seeking a Sr Manager of Global Talent Acquisition Compliance, Governance and Risk responsible for ensuring that the organization’s Talent Acquisition processes adhere to local and international laws, regulations and internal policies. This role will develop and implement compliance programs, monitor and audit recruitment processes, train staff on relevant issues and manage risk associated with Talent Acquisition. The Sr Manager collaborates with legal, compliance, risk, HR and other governing departments to maintain ethical hiring standards and promote best practices in global hiring.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and implement global talent acquisition compliance programs, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to local and international laws and regulations.
  • Monitor and audit recruitment processes and practices to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Create and maintain dashboards to track key audit and compliance issues
  • Collaborate with legal, HR, and other departments to ensure alignment of recruitment practices with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide training and guidance to talent acquisition teams on compliance-related topics, including anti-discrimination laws, data privacy, and ethical hiring practices.
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates of compliance policies to reflect changes in laws and regulations.
  • In-depth knowledge of AI and machine learning technologies, with a strong emphasis on understanding regulatory requirements, ethical considerations, and risk management.
  • Lead the selection, implementation, and continuous monitoring of AI systems to ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to audit and mitigate AI-related risks.
  • Lead investigations into compliance violations and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain metrics and reporting systems to track compliance performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on global talent acquisition compliance and governance, providing advice and support to senior leadership.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition compliance and governance to continually enhance the organization’s compliance framework.
  • Provide advisory services on compliance-related topics, including process design and control

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • 8+ years in progressively responsible roles focused on compliance, audit, or risk management
  • 3+ years in HR or related compliance role
  • Experience driving results in a public multinational corporation
  • Highly ethical and sound personal judgment
  • Confidence to act independently as a self-starter
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Superior organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Able to think strategically and translate strategies into actionable plans
  • Able to create strong working relationships across the business and persuasively communicate with multiple levels of management
  • Global experience and ability to work in a matrixed environment
  • Demonstrate flexibility and multi-tasking abilities to meet competing deadlines

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 138,500.00 to 200,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
