This role will serve as a IT Sr. System Engineer for the Monitoring/Observability team. This position involves configuring, managing and supporting enterprise-level solutions the company uses to monitor application and infrastructure environments on-prem and AWS cloud. The successful candidate will assist in migration of monitoring solutions including agent installation, grouping, reporting, alerting, and integrations with Event Management and ITSM solutions to ensure application performance and availability in accordance with company standards and business requirements.
Responsibilities
Implement and manage Dynatrace environments for infrastructure, applications and cloud services.
Set up and configure dashboards to provide visibility into system health and performance.
Regularly reviewing existing observability solutions and making recommendations for improvements
Maintain and update existing scripts used to monitor system and applications on Unix and Windows servers.
Develop custom monitoring solutions utilizing network, server, application performance and log analytics tools along with necessary custom scripts to meet current and future observability requirements.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to implement observability solutions that align with business needs.
Responsible for researching and analyzing telemetry (events, alerts, traps, incidents, logging) to identify trends and gaps, produce reports, and/or make recommendations
Quals–
A minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering monitoring solutions supporting Event Management process.
3+ years working experience with Dynatrace architecture and best practices.
Expertise in deployment and troubleshooting Dynatrace One Agent and Active Gates
Experience in Dynatrace SaaS environment
Must be able to analyze application performance telemetry collected by Dynatrace to identify potential issues and to resolve application performance issues.
Working experience with AWS CloudWatch.
