Position Summary:

Applied Training Solutions, LLC is seeking a State Volunteer & Donation Liaison to support coordination with voluntary organizations and state agencies involved in disaster response. This role assists the State Volunteer Agency Liaison (VAL) team by maintaining effective communication and supporting collaboration among stakeholders during emergency operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the State VAL team in maintaining relationships with voluntary organizations and state agencies
  • Facilitate coordination between non-profit, faith-based, and community organizations during disaster response
  • Assist with tracking donations, volunteer activities, and unmet needs
  • Document and report on activities, commitments, and contributions of partner organizations
  • Help ensure consistent and timely communication with stakeholders
  • Represent the State VAL team in coordination meetings and planning activities
  • Provide logistical support and situational updates to the SEOC as needed
  • Assist in maintaining accurate contact lists and documentation databases

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of work experience in a volunteer coordination, emergency management, or community engagement role
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with a wide range of organizations and stakeholders
  • Familiarity with disaster relief operations and voluntary agency coordination
  • Must be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) or with VOAD organizations
  • Knowledge of donations management platforms or tools
  • Understanding of the National Response Framework and Emergency Support Functions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and coordination software

  • Performance Location: On-site while on assignment (location TBD)
  • Relocation Assistance: Not applicable
  • Clearance Required: None
  • Travel Required: Yes – up to 100% while on assignment

Working Environment:

Work is performed in Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs), coordination centers, or in the field during emergency response operations. Extended hours and travel may be required throughout the continental United States and its territories during activations.
