Supply Planner

Job Summary

The primary role of the Supply Planner is to develop a supply/production plan. Key driver in creating and managing the true supply/production signals to align supply chain and company resources. Tasked with using data insights to improve on-time delivery and inventory management. Hands-on worker who will drive the creation of a supply plan and work with other functional teams to develop a consensus plan for hand-off to the production team or issue purchase orders to suppliers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• 40% Analysis
• Firming Orders for Plants or Suppliers on a weekly basis.
• Reviewing Supply Plans for expedites/de-expedites.
• 20% Influence/Collaborate/Communicate
• Collaboration with Suppliers/Plants on long-term capacity planning (PSI).
• 20% Reporting
• Running reports utilizing Excel / publishing reports.
• Investigating any results that are off target and consulting with others to complete analysis before publishing.
• 10% Process Improvement
• Make recommendations to enhance business processes and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies.
• 10% Other / As Needed

Education and Experience Profile

• 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain required.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering/Operations/Supply Chain Management/Mathematics or equivalent experience required.
• APICS Membership and Participation encouraged.
• Certified CPIM, CFPIM, or CSCP desired.

Required Skills

• Understanding of technology tools that enable demand and supply planning and reporting; exposure to MFG PRO/QAD, JDA, or SAP preferred.
• Strong analytical abilities and advanced MS Excel skills, including pivot charts, VLOOKUP and experience with very large data sets.
• Familiarity with MS PowerPoint.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong mathematical/statistical abilities.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Work Environment:

Working conditions are normal for an office environment.

Pay Range: $66,026–$96,838.

This “base salary range” is a reasonable estimate for this position at the time of posting. Pay within each range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, primary work job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
