Surgical Technologist Educator – IPS (Full-time/Days)

$83,866.00 – $125,798.00

Monday – Friday

The Surgical Technologist Educator provides instruction and support on topics pertinent to surgical technologists, surgical assistants, anesthesia technologists, and allied health professionals in Perioperative Departments. This may include, but is not limited to, on-boarding new hires, annual competency, annual skills fair, skills assessments for new equipment, standards and regulatory updates, development of new graduate placement training program, enrichment of new professionals to the intraoperative environment. Participates in interviewing, orienting, onboarding and developing new staff. Assists in preparation for regulatory and accreditation surveys. Collaborates with perioperative clinical education specialists to provide instruction and support for topics pertinent to clinical staffing.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Surgical Technology or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • NBSTSA Certification, BLS, and Washington State Registry for Surgical Technology are all required.
  • Five years of recent experience as a surgical technologist in a perioperative or procedural area is required. One year experience building and creating adult training/learning programs is preferred.
