Tesla’s Manufacturing Test Engineering group isseekinga highly motivated hands-on Technical Program Manager to drive development of custom manufacturing equipment with mechanical, electrical, controls and software engineers. As a Technical Program Manager for this team,you’llbe part of the group responsible for developing manufacturing testing equipment for Optimus and other Tesla products.A very excitingrole where you will interact with product designers, firmware engineers, manufacturing engineers, supply chain, andproduction.

You willinterfacewith cross functional teams toidentifyand define product constraints andidentifykey change items. You will help to define and drive the development, validation, and implementation of custom manufacturing equipment to various factories around the world. You will communicate and present project status, highlight schedule risk, motivate the team to meet aggressive deadlines, and develop recovery plansin the event ofproject slip.

What You’ll Do

  • Accountable for creating,maintaining, and communicating schedules and plans for developing and deploying custom manufacturing equipment to meet start of production and ramp
  • Drive action with internal and cross functional teams to successfully complete projects within time, budget, and resource constraints
  • Track project progress and report effectively on status, blockers, and changes to plan of record with effective communication channels to all stakeholders
  • Identifycreative and timely solutions to key program challenges
  • Track resourcing of projects and drive resource balancing between different program priorities
  • Advise anddevelop systems and best practices for communication and change management
  • Completeappropriate documentation and ensure accuracy of data across Tesla systems (Confluence, JIRA, Microsoft SharePoint, Polarion, SolidWorks PDM)

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study, proof of exceptional ability and being hands-on, or equivalentexperience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with responsibility for managing change
  • Demonstrated experience creating,maintaining, and communicating schedules
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail
  • Understanding of design cycle and design problem solving processes
  • Exposure to electrical test instruments (DMMs, Oscilloscopes, Power Analyzers, etc.) is a plus

    Expected Compensation
    $100,000 – $186,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
