  • Responsible for managing multiple, concurrent projects and project teams as assigned. Projects are considered to be medium to large in scale and have higher complexity with teams comprised of members from multiple resource groups, large budgets, complex schedules, and higher risk or visibility.
  • Expected to work with key members of technical and functional areas to ensure that the end product is designed and delivered to scope.
  • Expected to provide leadership, expertise and consulting among project team leaders and members related to project management best practices and the Application of these practices to actual projects.
  • Works with management in Technology Services (TS) and various areas of the company to coordinate staff, vendors and project resources.
  • Collaborates with TS management and various functional managers in accounting and procurement to ensure project budgets are properly estimated and controlled.
  • Also provides leadership, development and direction in creating and suggesting improvements to the TS project management methodology.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected and encouraged.
  • Essential Job Tasks:

  • Leads multiple, concurrent project teams for from original concept through final implementation, ensuring that the projects follow the TS Project Methodology. Works closely with Project Sponsors and Stakeholders to define project scope and objectives, create and maintain detailed project schedules and project plans, and establish deadlines for deliverables. Coordinates interaction and communication among internal and external resources. Prepares and delivers project reports and briefings to keep management, sponsors, team members and other stakeholders informed on the status of the budget, schedule, and quality of assigned projects. Develops and complies with business processes that ensure the delivered product/service meets all project requirements.
  • Assist the Manager PMO with maintaining the TS Project Portfolio, tracking portfolio metrics, and reporting out to TS Management when directed. Facilitation of monthly project management meetings and TPC meetings as needed.
  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the TS Project Management Methodology, from beginning to end, is required. Assists the Manager of PMO in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a project management methodology based on industry recognized standards and best practices covering the nine knowledge areas of project management (integration, scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, communications, risk and procurement) as well as the five process groups (initiating, planning, executing, monitoring & controlling, and closing). Develops and recommends improvements to the TS Project Management Methodology based on feedback from project teams.
  • Demonstrates a expert ability to identify, manage, and resolve risks that would otherwise become a hindrance to the project schedule, budget, and objectives. Expected to lead the project team in risk management strategies with little intervention from management.
  • Works with other TS Project Managers to ensure they are following the Project Management Methodology and that they achieve all aspects of effective and efficient project management efforts. Performs health assessments on existing projects, maintains status of all projects within the project portfolio, and reports progress to management.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Technology or Engineering + 5 years experience.
  • Must have strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Compensation Information:
    $91,990 – $114,990 (min. – mid.)
    Project Manager B

  • Bachelor’s Degree Technology or Engineering + 2 years experience.
  • Must have strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Compensation Information:
    $82,520 – $103,140 (min. – mid.)
