We are a small team and are looking for a Video Engineer with a minimum of 16 years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s Degree to deliver enterprise video collaboration capabilities, including architectural design and optimization, system evaluation and analysis. The candidate shall work closely with a Senior Project Manager to perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, evaluate alternatives including cost, risk, supportability and analyses for total systems. The systems engineer shall lead analysis at all levels of total system product to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal; ensure the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions; and translate customer requirements into hardware/software specifications. Required Education, Experience, & Skills

We are seeking a highly skilled Video Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in audio-video technologies, multimedia systems, cable TV infrastructure, networking principles, and a range of related technologies including DMARK, modulators, coders, DISH satellite systems, open-source solutions, and DVO stream management. The role requires a strong technical acumen, problem-solving skills, and the ability to design, implement, and maintain video delivery systems with a focus on innovation and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide architecture and engineering support for all multimedia platforms and video streaming service, including roadmap and system designs.
  • Design, configure, and deploy audio-video systems for optimal performance and reliability.
  • Install all hardware, software and provision network drops for video streaming service endpoints. Develop technical specifications and documentation for video delivery systems.
  • Maintain a lab/test environment for new equipment and software before it touches the network.
  • Provision and activate all set top boxes for the video streaming service.
  • Provide 24X7 monitoring of all video streaming services (i.e. Load Balancers)
  • Manage networking infrastructure to ensure seamless delivery of multimedia content.
  • Troubleshoot network issues related to video delivery and optimize network performance.
  • Maintain and update A&A security level documentation along with ATO and new requests to remain compliant.
  • Implement and maintain DMARK connections and configurations.
  • Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting modulators, coders, and dish systems.
  • Install and maintain all hardware and software located in two head ends.
  • Collaborate with cable TV providers such as DISH Networks to optimize service delivery.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in Cable TV technology.
  • Evaluate, implement, and customize open-source solutions for video delivery.
  • Leverage open-source tools and platforms to enhance efficiency and flexibility.
  • Contribute to the open-source community through code contributions and knowledge sharing.
  • Manage and optimize DVO streams for high-quality video delivery.
  • Monitor stream performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.
  • Collaborate with content creators and distributors to ensure seamless stream integration.
  • Provide Tier 3-4 O&M support

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 16+ years’ experience in video engineering, multimedia systems, or related roles.
  • Deep understanding of audio-video technologies, cable TV infrastructure, and networking principles.
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting modulators, coders, and dish systems.
  • Experience working with DISH Network and other cable TV providers.
  • Familiarity with open-source technologies and their application in video delivery systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to innovate and optimize systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Certifications in relevant technologies such as Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, etc.
  • Experience with DVO stream management systems and protocols.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $140690 – $239140

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
