Job Description

As a Welder, you will be responsible for tack and MIG welding in a production welding and processing environment. This role requires executing various welding tasks including plate to plate, block to plate, butt joint, stitch welding, pipe welding, and square block welding for brackets and components for large equipment. You may also be involved in operating a press brake, paint line, powder coating, and assembly processes.

  • Pay: $20-$22/hr starting rate with good opportunity for advancement. Advancement rate and pay raises depending on experience level and weld test results to certify up to higher paying levels.
  • Shift: 1st – 5:30am to 3:30pm CENTRAL TIME
  • Schedule: Monday – Thursday. Overtime is worked on Fridays as needed, voluntary first, then required as needed which is very uncommon.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tack and MIG welding in a production environment.
  • Execute welding tasks such as plate to plate, block to plate, butt joint, stitch welding, pipe welding, and square block welding.
  • Participate in assembly tasks as needed.
  • Maintain clean and precise welds, taking pride in workmanship.
  • Proficiency in MIG welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Experience with grinding and fabrication.
  • Competency with a tape measure and working with stainless steel.
  • Flexibility and openness to perform tasks beyond core responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently with a growth mindset.
  • Strong attendance record.
  • Welding certification preferred.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dunlap, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $25.00/hr.
