Role and Scope of Position:
Supervises and coordinates the activities of the New Hampshire Meter Reading personnel in the assigned Area Work Centers (AWC’s). Assigns and monitors the Meter Reading, Collection, and Order activities to ensure that the work is done safely, timely, efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with standard company operating policies and procedures. Investigates and analyzes meter reading routes and work practices to ensure that each is incompliance with standard procedures.
Essential Functions:
- Plans, schedules and supervises the activities of meter reading personnel to ensure that each job function is performed as necessary. Performs duties of FSR, FSR Specialist, AMR Driver
- Tracks goals and ensures KPI targets assigned to the Meter Reading group are met
- Maintains an adequate stock of meters and other essential supplies
- Investigates and analyzes data to determine and establish efficient meter reading routes. Creates new and modifies existing routes to ensure reading efficiency and safety.
- Participates in projects related to Meter Reading, Collections, and other associated activities and processes
- Investigates and resolves customer billing inquiries and meter reading complaints
- Coordinates and investigates activities related to possible tampering or diversion of electricity, ensuring that appropriate reports and evidence are properly collected and submitted to management. Works closely with Revenue Assurance.
- Conducts training and development of personnel in safe work methods and prescribed work practices consistent with Company Safety and Health programs
- Manages and coordinates motor vehicle utilization, repair, and maintenance for vehicles within their area of responsibility
- Conducts Safety meetings and coordinates and documents Field Safety Observations
- Overtime and storm assignments are required
- Provides training to and instructs others within the department; Plans, schedules and reviews work performed and evaluates subordinates
- Identifies appropriate procedural methods; and make decisions based on analysis of information
- Works effectively with subordinates; superiors, interfacing departments and vendors
- Analyzes operational methods and develops improved procedures as needed
- Interprets Company policies, procedures and practices
- Other duties as required.
Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
- Ability to deal effectively with employees, supervisors, customers, and cross functional teams.
- Ability to use or learn computer applications such as; C2, CACS, OMS, ARCOS, Kubra, FCS, Fieldnet, and Powertrack. This listing is not all inclusive.
- Basic understanding and knowledge of electrical metering applications
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree preferred
Experience:
- Four (4) years of meter reading or field collections experience

Licenses & Certifications:
- Motor Vehicle Operator’s License required. Proven Safe driving record required.
Working Conditions:
- Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
- Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
