Position Summary

WWF seeks a dynamic and motivated Digital Streaming Engagement Intern to assist with our spring 2025 livestreaming fundraising campaign. This intern will play a crucial role in the planning, execution, and analysis of our online streaming event, aimed at raising awareness and funds for our global conservation efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Virtual Event Coordination: Assist in the planning and coordination of the spring 2025 livestream fundraising campaign.
  • Content Creation: Help with the development of engaging content for livestreams, including scripts, graphics, and promotional materials.
  • Platform Management: Help manage and monitor livestreaming platforms (Twitch, YouTube, Instagram Live, etc.) during events to ensure smooth execution and real-time engagement.
  • Audience Engagement: Interact with viewers during livestreams, respond to comments, and foster a positive and engaging online community.
  • Data Analysis: Track and analyze performance metrics from livestreams to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with WWF-US fundraising innovations and communications teams and WWF-Australia to align livestreaming efforts with broader campaign goals.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing either an Associate’s or Bachelor’s or Graduate Degree program in communications, marketing, digital media, or a related field. Those studying outside these areas are still encouraged to apply.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in social media platforms and livestreaming tools, basic graphic design and video editing skills.

Location

Washington, DC based or US Remote – WWF employs interns in all states with the exception of: Hawaii, Idaho, Kentucky, Nevada, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, Wyoming.

Compensation and Work Schedule

  • Compensation: $20.50/hour for current undergraduate students and $22/hour for current graduate students.
  • Work Schedule: Part-time, 21 hours per week. Availability outside standard working hours is required, as campaign calls typically occur at 6 PM ET on Mondays or Wednesdays. Must also be available during streams, which generally take place in the late afternoon, evening, or late evening.
